New installation of latest version of the basic version. Problem occurs whenever I attempt to save settings - either frontend or backend. (Domain name #ed out below deliberately)

Error message "Warning: fopen(./components/com_booklibrary/admin.booklibrary.class.conf.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/########.co.uk/httpdocs/CMS/administrator/components/com_booklibrary/admin.booklibrary.class.others.php on line 80
Cannot create configuration file."

Please let me know what I need to change.

You can save setting in Book Library - often that happened when you manual change permission for files and folder inner yours Joomla installation.
So now yours HTTPD server hasn't permission create/edit files in folder:
/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/########.co.uk/httpdocs/CMS/administrator/components/com_booklibrary/

You may with help FTP or cPanel - check permissions for that folder and set it to: 777
Also please check permissions for all files in that folder and set its as: 666

also you can reinstall Book Library.

If that not help - please ask yours host provider.
