When i try to make a menu-item I only can chose for the component.
But I want under that menu-item all my categories (and subcats) in submenu's

How can I link to the categories??

Sorry, may be I not understand what you means, but when you create menu item to "BookLibrary" - you create menu to all BookLibrary categories and subcategories.

Creation menu item to some alone Book Category - now impossible, but you can buy customer version with features special for you, through "Contact form"

I agree - I have the same requirement. Yes, you may want to provide a menu item that shows all book categories but for my implementation I also want a menu item that points to a particular category.

What I want is the categories listed in my menu rather than having to go into the component to see them.

What I did in my site was copy the link to each category and created a menu item pointing to an external link and pasted in the link there. That way I can have the menu items I need. However, this solution isn't very elegant and it'd be very easy to implement in Book Library (much like Joomla's article categories work today).

May be in future we will add that to BookLibrary(sorry what do yet very much other)
But if you whant take that now, you can buy small customization through Contact form
