News - Book Library

For upgrade from yours Book Library 1.5 version to Book Library version 2.0 without lost data you need:

ONLY for Joomla 1.5.x

Note: Before make any upgrades, please make the backup of your website and database.

At first try to do these actions on the test server.

Full save so files and folders:

{yours site}/administrator/components/com_booklibrary

{yours site}/components/com_booklibrary

Please do full books export.

After that please remove

{yours site}/administrator/components/com_booklibrary

{yours site}/components/com_booklibrary

and do install components from BookLibrary 2.0 version.

Please recover folders:

{yours site}/administrator/com_booklibrary/ebooks

{yours site}/components/com_booklibrary/covers

Also you will need upgrade all plugins and modules

For upgrade from Book Library Basic 2.x version to Book Library Pro Shop 2.x without lost data you need:

ONLY for Joomla 1.5.x and for move from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7

At first try to do these actions on the test server.

full save so files and folders:

{yours site}/administrator/components/com_booklibrary

{yours site}/components/com_booklibrary

Please do full books export.

Then go to [BookLibrary] [Settings Backend] and set [Update] to “YES”

The uninstall basic component and install Shop version.

Please recover folders:

{yours site}/administrator/com_booklibrary/ebooks

{yours site}/components/com_booklibrary/covers

Also you will need upgrade all plugins and modules

And all will work.
